There are so many reasons to seek individual therapy. Whether it is a recent loss, major life change, disruption in your child or teen’s ability to function, or a feeling you cannot even put into words; all questions can be explored.
Your child’s school and educational experience play a vital role in their development and self-esteem. Schools are the playgrounds where children learn essential life skills. Children are sent off to school 35 plus hours a week in the hopes of an increase in learning, social skills, and independence. Which is why it can be particularly frustrating and disruptive to your whole family’s functioning when children are struggling in school.
Anyone who is a parent or is involved in the very special role of helping guide a child, knows it is both the most rewarding role you will play, and the most frustrating role you will play. There is no “one-way fits all” approach to parenting. Each family has different needs, different strengths, and different abilities. We will work together to help navigate the challenges that come with parenting.
